European Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is a month-long series of activities to build a secure energy future for Europe. It brings together public authorities, private companies, NGOs and consumers to promote initiatives to save energy and move towards renewables for clean, secure and efficient power.

Launched in 2006 by the European Commission, the EUSEW is organised by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME) in close cooperation with Directorate-General for Energy.

Where you fit in…

Everyone brings something different to the EUSEW. It is an ideal platform for sharing ideas and knowhow, and for forging alliances to bring about an Energy Union based on:

  • Energy efficiency
  • Decarbonising the economy
  • Research, innovation and competitiveness.

The European Sustainable Energy Week is made up of a 3-day policy conference offering various networking opportunities, an EU Sustainable Energy Awards competition with a public vote for the citizens' award and local events, Energy Days, held across Europe throughout the months of May and June.

The ultimate aim is to spread awareness of how to use energy more sustainably, build a low-carbon economy based on renewables and have a strong, united approach to sustainable energy use.

ASSIST @ EUSEW

The Assist project, in which EnergyVille is a partner, will be presented at the EUSEW. You can find the project partners on 19 June 2019 at their own booth in the Networking VIllage. Feel free to pass by between 9h and 12h30 to meet the project partners and discover how the Home energy advisors (HEA) implement the ASSIST actions in their countries (UK, Poland, Finland, Italy, Spain and Belgium). Or you can join the session 'Multilevel and participatory action to tackle energy poverty' at the conference.
