Last weekend the professors and researchers of EnergyVille in Genk received many curious children during the KU Leuven Children's University! A day full of adventure in which these young researchers had the opportunity to learn more about science and technology in an interactive and playful way. This edition was once again a tremendous success!
For the second edition of the Children's University of KU Leuven, no fewer than 120 children came to EnergyVille at the Thor Park in Genk to learn more about energy in a playful way. Professors Johan Driesen and Geert Deconinck taught the young minds everything about energy and computers. In the workshops that followed, the youngest children started programming with robots and made their own thermometer and super cool flashlight.
The slightly older researchers were given the challenge of making the city of TECHville smart and sustainable by building a windmill, programming a creative dance floor or automating their home with domotics.
This edition of the KU Leuven Children's University was once again a great success! It was a day filled with energy, discovery and above all a lot of enthusiasm! The succession of our EnergyVille researchers is assured!
