The energy and climate debate is taking centre stage. The voice of science though, especially when it comes to informing the general public, is less frequently heard.

Please note this event will be held in Dutch.

Energy unplugged 1.0: for studentsfiets

When: 2 May 2019, 9h-12h OR 13h-16h.

Where: Thor Central, Thor Park 8000, 3600 Genk

What is the current state of electric vehicles? What role have batteries to play in the future? And 100% renewable energy, is that even possible? On 2 May 2019 all students of the 5th and 6th grade of secondary education are invited to learn more about the energy system of the future.

Discover with your classmates how far technology has developed. Did you for example know solar panels can be integrated into building façades or windows? Or did you know flooded mines can provide heat for an entire neighbourhood?

No worries, we apply a hands-on approach to introduce the energy system of the future. This informative day will be concluded with a tour in our labs. This way you can seewith your own eyes how these innovative technologies are being developed.

Interested to join? Send a mail to communication@energyville.be with reference to your preferred timeslot (morning or afternoon).
